Senior Financial Controller / MT member
The challenge at ESD-SIC B.V.
In this responsible and all-round role, you are logically involved in the entire finance and control cycle, including the associated ICT systems, within ESD-SIC. As MT member, managing two employees (administrative and IT), you are an independent and proactive professional with strategic, advisory, supervisory as well as tactical and executive tasks.
Your tasks range from the administrative processing and analysis of financial data to asking the right questions and understanding trends and developments within your field. All this falls within your area of responsibility.
Your responsibilities.
- Financial accuracy and quality: ensuring correct and reliable financial data.
- Reporting and monitoring: preparing, reporting and monitoring the (financial) monthly figures to the MT and the board.
- Budget process: collecting data and preparing the annual budget.
- Financial policy and risk management: proactively advise on financial policy and risk management.
- Management: managing the Financial Administration and IT departments (1.8 fte).
- Financial statements and auditing: preparing the financial statements and supervising the auditing process.
- Business cases and scenario analyses: preparing business cases and scenarios to support strategic decisions.
- Implementation of MT decisions: translating (MT) decisions into operational objectives within the organization.
- Tax returns: taking care of monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns.
- Process optimization: continuous improvement of (work) processes.
- Internal coordination: ensuring good cooperation and coordination within the organization.
- Software update: leading and supervising a major software update.
The ideal candidate profile
- At least a completed professional education, direction Accountancy, BE, Controlling or similar.
- At least 5 to 10 years work experience in a financial function within a production company.
- Experience with P&C cycle, financial reporting, budgets, AO/IC and optimization of management information.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Exact Globe and E-synergy) and proficient in Excel.
- Analytical, accurate, initiative and strong communication and advisory skills.

- The ideal candidate will have a gross salary of €5,500 to €7,500 per month (including vacation allowance and year-end bonus) based on 40 hours per week.
