Career Coaching

Make choices and take concrete career steps.

A few extra eyes and ears can help you along!

You have several years of work experience and you feel like you are doing quite well, yet you may have had questions for some time such as ‘Is this what I really want?’, ‘Should I take a completely different tack? ‘ or ‘Am I using my talents enough?’

These, and many other questions, can start to bother you quite a bit in the long run. Especially if you leave them be. Many people keep walking around with them, but that’s not what you want. Actually, you want to take action, but something may be holding you back. You want to, but you don’t dare, you’re afraid to make a switch, you’re afraid of the consequences. But sometimes you have to leave everything behind and think about yourself. Gain insight, dare to take steps and dare to take a risk. Eventually you know that you will have to take action at some point.

Why? Because in a dialogue you can get faster and better answers to important questions. You are well and specifically supported in your process of gaining insight, making choices and taking concrete steps.

Why choose career coaching?

Sometimes you can’t get out on your own, many people think they have to manage it all on their own and therefore don’t seek help. But talking to others is so important.

By talking to others about what is bothering you, what you are struggling with, or what you see as challenges, you can gain insight into yourself and discover what your opportunities are. You don’t have to achieve your goals or desires within a week, take time to let everything sink in and make a plan of what you want to achieve. Then, step by step, consider how you can achieve that and what your role in it will be. But also look at who can help you do that. Some things you cannot do alone, maybe you can talk to your employer and find a way through this together. With a career coach you can see how you can best go through the process. A coach who is going to help you achieve your goals within your career. All the questions you have can be asked here, but you will also learn to answer them yourself.

Career Coaching

Career coaching is always customized and tailored to the specific questions and wishes you have.

It’s all about what you want to achieve, what you want to do with your work and life and how that will manifest itself, which is different for everyone. Perhaps you want to start your own business, you want to grow within your own function, or you want to express your strengths and learn to stand up for yourself. These are all things that you may encounter at work, and it is time to do something about it. Get more insight into your own abilities and what you want with career coaching.

Career coaching consists of

  • An appointment with the career coach in which your career questions are discussed in detail. What questions do you have, what do you want to learn, what is your goal with the career coaching?
  • A assessment with a written report, in which advice is given on the best direction(s) for your career.
  • Five to ten meetings with your career coach.

Throughout the entire process, your personal career coach will monitor your progress and results achieved by you, through personal appointments and e-consults.
Your personal trajectory will end with a final interview with your career coach, in which the written final report will be discussed. This report indicates the goals you have achieved and possible further development points.

Achieved results with career coaching in practice

In the end, it’s all about what you’re going to do it for. Often people want to move forward too quickly, but it’s actually important to dwell on a few questions:

What have I accomplished?

  • How did I get to this point?
  • What am I running into now?
  • What are my strengths?
  • What do I want to change?
  • How can I change it?
  • Who can help me with the changes?
  • What will the changes be able to give me?

When you dwell on these questions, you really start to think more deeply about your situation. It will sometimes be made difficult for you, sometimes you really need time to come to an answer, but in the end it is all about making you better. You want to know what you can do and what you want, you only discover this by talking about it. Practice shows that career coaching is very useful. People gain insight into where they are now, where they want to go and what steps can be taken to reach their goals.
It may be that after your coaching process you still have questions or that you just can’t figure it out. If you would like to talk, you can always contact one of our coaches. They are ready and happy to help you in your career.
